The ButterRaum is now even more beautiful, because we can now show you the wonderful paintings of Dortmund artist Walter Liggesmeyer.

Walter Liggesmeyer (1938-2017) was a well-known painter and writer from Dortmund, whose paintings can be found not only here, but also internationally in galleries and public institutions.

The estate of Walter Liggesmeyer is being looked after by Georg Deventer , his long-time companion. He has curated an exhibition from it: From now on you can find Walter Liggesmeyer's wonderful, colorful and intense paintings on the walls of the ButterRaum and also the Schwarzgold.

Admission is of course free and our normal opening hours apply. The pictures are expected to be on display in the ButterRaum until September 4, 2024.
